With spring rapidly approaching here in Western New York, I felt the need to start writing in this blog. I would love to include a picture with today's post, but quite frankly, I've gotten out of the practice of taking pictures. It also doesn't help that my yard is a dismal grey right now. We're just coming out of winter--meaning the grass is still mostly brown, the crocus and daffodils still haven't bloomed and it is raining.
On the up side, spring will soon be here. For me, this means spring cleaning my house from top to bottom. I've lived here for 6 years and it's time to clean out, throw out and have a garage sale once it warms up a little bit.
I'm also starting to plan a new business venture. I've had it in my head for a very long time, but have never put it into action. Let's just say starting my own business scares me half to death. Don't know why exactly, but it does. I think I'm finally ready to face this fear. As this falls into place, I'll write about it here.
Until next time, hope for Spring!

Hi There
I'm a little late to the blog bandwagon, but better late than never. I've had this blog set up since January and never wrote a post. So here I am, finally writing my first post.
My original purpose for setting up this blog was to document starting my own craft business. That purpose still applies, but I need to expand it. There are other things I want to document as well and since it took me this long to write my first post, I really don't think having two blogs going at once would be wise.
What are these other things?
Let's see. I just turned 38 last week and I realized I wasn't living the life I want. What does this mean for me, practically speaking? Losing weight, overhauling my house, and continuing to spend time with my children. It also means breaking years of bad habits. And we all know how hard that is to accomplish. Let's just say I'm better friends with dessert than I am with exercise. I need to reverse those.
This blog will have a little bit of everything. And we'll see how it goes.
While I am a scrapbooker, I am an average photographer. And I haven't been very active as of late. (Just one more thing to add to the improve list.) I can say right now, with absolute certainty, this blog won't be crammed full of photos with very little writing. I'll include photos when I have them and they make sense. I do have a picture to include in this post. These flowers have spilled into my yard from my neighbor's yard. She has a beautiful yard and her flowers spread across our chain link fence, so we get to enjoy them too. Hope you like them too.
